Holocaust Research Project Handout

Holocaust Research Project
70 Points
Dickman
During this project you will be asked to research 4 different questions relating to the Holocaust.  After completing your research you will create a power point presentation that will answer the questions.  You will have 3 days in the lab to complete this project and 2 days in the library for research.  Though this should allow for enough time, I will also offer 2 days after school, if you need any extra help.
Your power point must include:
1.       A title page in MLA format
2.       4 question slides with the questions at the top and thoroughly researched answers.
3.       4 pictures slides relating to each question.  This means that each question slide should be followed by a picture slide.
4.       A bibliography including all of your research and pictures.  This means you should take notes on your bibliography worksheet for every resource you use.
5.       If you complete the project correctly you should have a minimum of 10 slides.
6.       Creativity and presentation count!
Bibliography:
1. Minimum of 3 sources
2. Do not use Wikipedia!!
3. One of them must be a book
I have attached a rubric and your bibliography worksheet.  Do not lose these!

Here are the questions you can choose from:
1     Were all concentration camps considered death camps?
2     Who else was sent to concentration camps besides the Jews?  Why?
3     What was life like on a daily basis for people living in hiding?
4     What was life like on a daily basis for Jews that were living in camps?
Imagine you were a survivor after the war, what do you do now?  What is life like?
6    Imagine you are a Jew that escaped Germany, where would you go?  What would you do?
      What is the Final Solution?
What was the Nazi reasoning for disliking the Jews?
What has Germany done since the war to deal with what happened?
1  What were the consequences for Germany after the war?
What happened to a non-Jewish person if they were caught helping a Jew?
How many countries during the war were Jews unsafe?
